The program helps foster intellectual curiosity and provides additional recognition for motivated students.
The current areas are:
- Critical Race Studies
- Democracy and Social Movements
- Environmental Citizenship
- Gender Studies
- Indigenous and Decolonization Studies
- Technology and Society
This year, the model has shifted to include a mentorship component. Students work with a faculty mentor who has expertise in the certificate area and who tracks their progress and provides advice.
