The Champlain College Saint-Lambert Women’s Basketball team is going to the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association’s National Championships for the first time as a top-ranked team.
The Cavaliers defeated the Dawson Blues 69-64 in RSEQ’s provincial gold medal game on Friday.
The team has a record of 12 wins and one loss for the year.
“After overcoming a lot of adversity this year, from closed gyms to cancelled games, we were able to finish the regular season ranked first in Québec and second in Canada, and have secured a spot to the national championship,” said Coach Georges Germanos.
The CCAA Women’s Basketball Nationals take place March 25 to 27.
