Champlain College Saint-Lambert was honoured to host two incredible guest speakers during its annual ceremony to mark National Truth and Reconciliation Day.
During the two-hour ceremony, students, faculty and staff were privileged to hear testimony from two Indigenous women who spoke about the intergenerational trauma caused by the residential school system and the ’60s scoop.

The event was hosted and animated by two other women from Kahnawá:ke, Diane Labelle and Jennifer Kanerahtoronkwas Paul.
National Truth and Reconciliation Day holds immense significance in our collective journey towards healing and understanding.
It is a day to remember and honor the survivors and those who were lost, to listen to their stories, and to commit ourselves to the path of reconciliation.
